ABOUT AALIKU BUNGALOWS

We at Aaliku Bungalows aim to offer our guests the facilities you would find in any top end villa or hotel but within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere of a small family run business. Aaliku is owned by an English/Indonesian couple therefore combining the local knowledge of the island coupled with western standards.

Beginning with just 1 bungalow in 2006 we have expanded Aaliku to 5 spacious rooms in total, each with their own special characters set amongst beautiful gardens.

The bungalows have been designed using the best quality materials that Lombok has to offer including teak wood for the interior, stone basins and marble flooring. Sumptuous cushions with shades that vary from room to room combined with neutral wall colors create a soft, classic look whilst items such as bedside lamps contribute to making each room unique in its own way.

Aaliku is superbly located, just meters away from the harbor and not far from the central strip where the dive shops and restaurants can be found. Situated a little behind the beachfront Aaliku enjoys peace and quiet without having to sacrifice distance to get to the main hub.

As the main water source on Gili Trawangan is salt water this results in much of the accommodation offering only salt water showers. Whilst this can be endured for a night or two you soon start to feel ‘sticky’ and feel the need for a ‘real’ shower. This is why one of Aaliku’s benefits is being able to offer fresh water that is piped in from Lombok so you are able to feel properly clean throughout the duration of your stay here.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer up to date information about the island from organizing a glass bottom boat to suggesting the best restaurant to enjoy fresh fish.

On your arrival we will collect you from the harbor and bring you the short distance to Aaliku where you can enjoy a welcome drink whilst you settle in and unpack.

As our rooms at Aaliku all have their own special features we have written a brief description of each one for you to make your own choice subject to availability.

Room With a View

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or even considering a place to stay for your honeymoon then our upstairs room is a perfect choice. Watch the sunrise or sunset or just sit and admire the lush green view of the island from a choice of two private balconies. Enjoy some of the best night’s sleep you’ll ever have on your holiday in our 4 poster bed where guests have complimented on how comfortable the mattress is! This room enjoys air con, fresh water and a safety deposit box. There are also two sun-loungers to soak up the rays on the large terraced balcony.

Family Room

This room is our most spacious with plenty of cupboard space built from the highest quality wood. One of the best features besides the amount of space is the large open bathroom that is perfect for a family or large group. This room also enjoys the benefits of air con, hot and fresh water and safety deposit box. We also have an extra bed, plus space for an additional mattress. This room can sleep up to a maximum of four people. Ideal for families with a teenager as the single bed is just outside the main bedroom.

Bunga-low!

This detached bungalow has a spacious sleeping area and a relaxation area with two sofas. This room also has plenty of wardrobe space. Feel free to watch our extensive collection of dvd’s on evenings that you don’t fancy partying the night away. Bungalow also has a safety deposit box.

Garden Rooms 1 and 2

Shower under the stars with open bathrooms and enjoy the lovely views that come with staying at Aaliku. We offer Twin beds in Garden Room 1 whilst Garden Room 2 is a double. Both of these rooms are Fan assisted at the moment and offer fresh water. Air con will be added in the near future.
