EAST LOMBOK

Mayung Putik Waterfall

Mayung Putik is a Sasak word for white deer. According to the legend, once in a while white deer came to the waterfall to drink or bathe. The waterfall is located in the forest which remind us of the way people lived in the olden day with all the natural beauty that was still original and artistic. The rivers is located at the Segare Anak Lake passing through a sulphur hot water spring so the water looks white-water is hot.

East Masbagik

East Masbagik village is known for its find pottery which was initially made for household needs on but now they have expanded to a variety of other items and by traditional methods.

Gili Lawang,Sulat,Petangan, and Lampu.

These small islands are situated in north-east Lombok .These islands are uninhabited except for monkeys and many kinds of birds .The white sand and the beautiful fish, alon with mangrove forests add to beauty of the islands .The immense coral playgrounds are

well preserved and protected by the local authority and the surrounding village people

Jeruk  Manis,Otak Kokok Gading,etc

East of Mataram near Tetebatu ,Jeruk Manis Waterfall lies in lush of natural forest. Local people call this impressive waterfall .AikTemer , because they  believe its water are able to cure baldness. Nearby, Otak Kokok Gading known for its waterfall, whose water is believe to cure all diseases.

Grave of Selaparang

The sacred grave of Selaparang Kings is located at Peresak village, Pringgabaya .

Pringgasela

This village in east Lombok is known for its traditional woven cloth ,Tenun Gedongan. Still product on backstrap looms by skilled villagers, the cloths are well known because of their natural look and attract interest from overseas.

Sapit

Situated high up on the southern slopes of MT Pusuk (east of MT Rinjani), the small village of Sapit is a quiet retreat which is accessible from Sembalun or either Aikmel or Pringgabaya. Cottages are available with brilliant view across the rice fields to the coast and Sumbawa island.

Sembalun

Sembalun is divided into two villages, Sembalun Lawang village and Sembalun Bumbung village, which are 2km apart. They are well known traditional villages. At Sembalun Lawang, there is a  Beleq village were one see a traditional house belonging to the local Sembalun people, the grave of majapahit or gajah Mada, and the traditional tandang Mendet dance. Their weaving products are widely sought after items. The area looks like a dray lake located between Mount Rinjani (3726m above see level) and hills, but the villagers have transformed it into a fertile land 1200m above see level. In addition to local farms producing vegetables, there is a major greenhouse development there that produces strawberries and other vegetables. This is a more direct route to the summit, or down to Segare Anak Lake. The Rinjani trek Information Centre is located here. The drive down from Sembalun towards to coast via Sapit is impressive and it has great views of the coast.

Ekas and Kaliantan

The elevated Ekas landscape has wonderful views across Ekas Bay, south-east Lombok, superb sheltered beaches and great eco-tourism opportunities. Further south from Ekas Peninsular Kaliantan has very white sandy beach and good surf waves. In this area the Bau Nyale ceremony is held at the same time as in Kuta Beach.

Labuhan Lombok (Kayangan Harbor)

Boats travel between Labuhan Lombok and Pototano on Sumbawa Island. Routes link Lombok to Taliwang, Maluk (and surf beaches), etc, in the south and Sumbawa Besar, Dompu (and surf beaches), Bima, Komodo and eastern Indonesia. Basic accommodation is available here.

Tetebatu

Located further north along the road from Loyok. Tetebatu village is situated on the slopes of Mount Rinjani. The views of this awesome giant are breathtaking; a swim in the local streams is also breathtaking as it is very cold. Trek in the Rinjani foothills and through rice fields or tobacco plantations are a popular activities.

Loyok and Kotaraja

Loyok, Kotaraja, and the surrounding area, is famous for its bamboo handicrafts. Many local design are created by skilled craftsmen working with great care each day on amazing array of product.
